A meningeal melanocytoma, also known as meningeal pigmented neurilemmoma, is a rare form of pigmented melanocytic tumor of the central nervous system. It is derived from the tumor cell of the leptomeningeal blood vessels. The tumor is often found in patients with neurofibromatosis type 2 (NF2). It is usually a benign tumor. It does not recur after resection.

Presentation
People who have NF2 are sometimes found to have asymptomatic lesions on their brainstem. These lesions are often hard to visualize, because there is little space between the skull and the brain. These lesions have a predilection for the lower part of the brainstem.

Radiographically, these lesions are usually pedunculated, and can cause bony destruction.

Epidemiology
Meningeal melanocytoma is very rare. It usually presents in children between the ages of 6 and 20. It is typically found in patients with NF2.

Pathophysiology
Meningeal melanocytoma is an extremely rare tumor of the central nervous system. The tumor cells are derived from the tumor cell of the leptomeningeal blood vessels.

Diagnosis
Cerebral angiography may be used to visualize the tumor.

Differential diagnosis
Other types of pigmented meningiomas that may be confused with melanocytomas are pigmented meningioma and pigmented ependymoma.

Treatment
A surgical biopsy is the preferred treatment for this tumor. In addition, surgical resection is likely to improve symptoms such as headaches or vision loss.

Prognosis
Since the tumor is low grade, prognosis is favorable.

I thought it was time to give another try at doing a project with corn glue and royal blue paint. This time I did it as a pinwheel. It takes a bit of time and elbow grease but it turned out pretty good. It was done with an old rusted bow (and the rusted tiller from a mower) and an old aluminum lawn chair.

Information has been released from the state's chief forensic pathologist that Shawn Griffin died of blunt force trauma to the head.

On July 29, 2014, Shawn Griffin, a University of Montana Agricultural Science student and Freshman Gladiator, died after a harrowing fall on the Big Sky Ski Resort in Big Sky, Montana. Griffin was a three-sport athlete (football, basketball, and skiing) at UM. He earned a degree in Agricultural Science and was an extremely valuable member of the UM community.

Twenty four hours after Shawn’s fall at Big Sky, several members of the UM track and field team discovered Shawn’s body at the base of the lift. He was found in the snow at one of the skiers’ skilifts.

Shawn’s body was taken to the Billings County Coroner’s Office and an autopsy was performed the next day. On August 1, 2014, the state of Montana released a statement indicating the cause of Shawn’s death was “blunt force trauma to the head.” The death was ruled a homicide.

The case was investigated by the Big Sky Ski Resort and Big Sky Search and Rescue.

Specifically, being an Armor bearer, I believe they would follow orders, and thus have no use for digging or for doing other manual labor.
An important factor is that you can only use the scouting power once per session.
